Frequently asked questions
What is your design style?
Buddy specializes in discovering your design aesthetic and brings it to life. Every project is tailored to the client’s personality, lifestyle, and goals.
What is Holistic Interior Design?
Holistic interior design considers the entire environment — layout, color, balance, energy, materials, light, and emotional impact. It integrates beauty and function while supporting how you want to feel in your home.
“Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful" -William Morris
What makes Buddy Warren Home different from other NYC interior designers?
• ASID interior designer
• Licensed NYC contractor
• Former cognitive-behavioral therapist
• Holistic design philosophy
• Hands-on project management
• Focus on creativity and self-expression
Buddy doesn’t just redesign homes — he helps clients discover their Inner Decorator and create spaces that reflect who they truly are.
I’m only interested in your design expertise and plan to hire a contractor separately. Is that possible?
Yes, our Interior Design services can be engaged independently, and we can collaborate with your chosen contractor.
That said, we highly recommend working with our team for both design and construction when possible. As a fully integrated design-build firm, we manage the entire process under one cohesive vision—resulting in smoother execution, clearer communication, and fewer unexpected issues.
When one team handles both design and construction, we’re able to proactively address challenges, maintain quality control, and ensure the final result aligns precisely with the original design intent.
What areas do you serve?
Buddy Warren Home serves Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the greater NYC metropolitan area.
Are you a licensed contractor in New York City?

• Clarifies next steps
You will leave with actionable direction and a clearer vision for your home.
Do you handle both design and construction?

Do you work on kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. Kitchen and bathroom renovations are a specialty. Buddy integrates layout, function, storage, lighting, and material selection into a cohesive design plan.
Can you help with furnishing and decor?
Yes. Buddy can source furnishings, manage installations, select curtains, paint colors, and complete all design elements without full renovation if desired.
I’m only interested in renovation services and don’t need design guidance. Do I have to pay the $750 consultation fee?
No—our $750 consultation fee applies only to Interior Design services. If you’re engaging us strictly for contracting work such as repairs, restorations, renovations, or refinishing, a design consultation is not required.
However, if your project involves layout changes, space planning, or requires design input to execute properly, additional design fees may be incurred.
We’ll always review this with you upfront so there are no surprises.
How much do renovations per room typically cost?
Renovation costs can vary significantly depending on the scope of work, materials, and overall complexity of the project.
Because every space is different, we’re not able to provide an exact estimate without first understanding your specific needs.
That said, our pricing is competitive with other interior design and contracting firms in New York City.
We’re happy to provide a preliminary range based on initial details—feel free to reach out through our contact form or call us at (917) 612-4497. A more accurate estimate can be provided after we assess the space and project requirements in person.
